Cattle, crops, and barn cats taught Adam everything he needed to know about solving problems. Design just gave him a new set of tools.
Cattle, crops, horses, a small army of barn cats, that was Adam’s childhood on his family’s farm and ranch in North Dakota. It gave him a strong work ethic and the ability to problem-solve his way out of just about anything, which has turned out to be useful in a very different line of work.
He moved to Nashville at 21 and spent his early career as a graphic designer at small branding agencies, eventually going independent and building brands for small businesses and health and wellness companies. FieldWrk was a different kind of fit, one that let him merge his blue-collar background with his creative experience, which turned out to be a perfect combination.
At FieldWrk, Adam conceptualizes visual identities, designs print and marketing collateral, and collaborates closely with the web and media teams to shape how a client’s brand shows up everywhere. Across all of it, his approach stays the same: show up with care for the client’s business, for the work the team delivers, and for the people he’s building it alongside.
Away from his computer, Adam likes to get his hands on something that isn’t a screen — watercolors, gardening, cooking for friends. Weekends usually mean trying the newest restaurant in town with a crisp martini.
He says he doesn’t like to argue. Just don’t be wrong about anything.
